Since the mid-1950s, Jasco has researched and developed instruments and applications for some of the most important areas of molecular spectroscopy, including Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), Raman, fluorescence, UV-visible/near-infrared, and chiral spectroscopy. Chiral assessment has become an important area of molecular spectroscopy because it is used in the development of useful biomolecules as new drugs, and for materials that can be used in new technologies for applications in materials science. Chiral spectroscopy includes diverse techniques such as optical rotational scattering (ORD) and polarization, circular dichroism (CD) - electronic and vibrational (VCD), as well as circularly polarized luminescence (CPL).
